Our Staff

Higher Ground has an experienced team of professionals to run its programs and manage operations. Three of the staff are certified recreation therapists; many of the other staff and interns have recreation therapy training and backgrounds. Higher Ground has more than 300 volunteers, a number of whom are certified sports instructors. We also have professional physical, occupational, and psychoanalytical therapists who regularly volunteer their time.

Volunteers go through rigorous training programs to learn specialized teaching methods for every type of sport we offer. They acquire techniques to interact with people that have severe physical injuries, brain trauma, and behavior disorders. Higher Ground strives to provide the most professional services possible.

Higher Ground also has an influential and committed board of directors. Their combined experience, guidance, and leadership continue to prove invaluable as we refine our objectives and expand our capacity.
